COMMUNITY SERVICE

Reaching out into our communities is vital to our organization, developing relationships with community leaders, media, school faculty and local civic groups can greatly assist each post in achieving the VFW mission.
POST 1503 members are very active within the community and surrounding areas.  The programs and activities conducted range from hosting open houses and picnics to more serious and needed activities which help support and aid the community.

In addition Post 1503 has an Assistant Benefits Officer who is actively involved with other organizations to assist Veterans.

Members of Post 1503 are active in their community School.   Each year the Post works with three area schools in Prince William County. The Post assists these Schools with guest speakers which help to educate Students on various historical topics and figures.
Each Year the Post provides needed School Supplies for three local area Schools.  A list is provided by the School Principal with the type of school supply needed and the number and grade of the Student.
